Release notes
mollusk 1.0.2
Fixed
- Volume automation ramps play as in Pro Tools between their breakpoints (fades by automation no longer hang loud on the way down)
- Fades and crossfades keep their Pro Tools length and shape, on tick-based tracks and on clips stretched with Elastic Audio as well
- Clip positions match Pro Tools in long sessions, on tick-based tracks and for clips stretched with Elastic Audio
- Overlapping clips on a track play as Pro Tools shows them
- Clip gain ramps play as in Pro Tools between their points
- Sessions at Pan Depth -6.0 keep their panned levels exactly
- A video track is silent in REAPER, as in Pro Tools; the video's sound stays on its own audio track
- Minor bug fixes and improvements
Removed
- Recover deleted clips, in Settings, is removed. Projects came out the same with the setting on and off: what it reported as deleted clips were fades sharing a number with a clip, which is fixed, and a clip deleted and saved in Pro Tools leaves no position in the session file to recover. The report still names any clip left out
New
- A Pro Tools master fader with plug-ins, set away from 0 dB or automated, arrives as a track of its own, so the plug-ins run after the fader as in Pro Tools. Keep the master fader on REAPER's master, in Settings, turns this off
- Faders, pan knobs and mute buttons follow automation on tracks in Touch and Latch, as on tracks in Read
- Keep frozen tracks frozen, in Settings: a track frozen in Pro Tools arrives frozen in REAPER and plays what Pro Tools rendered
- Dragged and preset fade shapes are carried as a volume envelope on the item. Use REAPER fades only, in Settings, writes ordinary REAPER fades instead
- After an update, every queued session is checked again
- A light by Help shows when a newer version of mollusk is available
mollusk 1.0.1
Fixed
- Automated pans arrived on the opposite side in REAPER. Static pans were not affected. Reconvert a session with pan automation to pick this up
- Minor bug fixes and improvements
New
- Ctrl+I adds sessions to the queue from a file window, and Ctrl+Shift+I adds every session in a folder (Command on a Mac)
- In REAPER's mixer, faders, pan knobs and mute buttons now follow a track's automation on tracks in Read, as in Pro Tools. Reconvert a session with automation to pick this up
- Copy media into project (was Copy audio) also copies the video in the session's Video Files folder
- Avid plug-ins that arrive as REAPER's own plug-ins are now named for the plug-in they replace, for example EQ3 7-Band (ReaEQ)
mollusk 1.0
New
- Converts a Pro Tools session to a REAPER project: tracks, audio, MIDI, routing, sends, the mix, automation and playlists
- Carries the settings inside plug-ins across wherever REAPER has the same plug-in
- Swaps Avid's EQ3, Dyn3 and Channel Strip for REAPER's own EQ and dynamics, and names the rest of Avid's plug-ins
- Every queued session is checked in the background, so a session with something that will not transfer turns yellow before converting; Refresh queue checks the queue again
- A Filter box above the queue finds a session by name
- Settings for each session, saved presets, and Duplicate for converting one session several ways
- A report beside every project names anything that did not come across
- App settings > Text size makes everything in mollusk 125% or 150% larger
